Vernonia’s Voice is a bi-monthly community newspaper, published on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, and is available for free at most businesses and public locations in Vernonia.
A Message From the Editor
Vernonia’s Voice was started in June of 2007 with a vision of providing a publication that would highlight positive and upbeat stories about the community of Vernonia.
Vernonia’s Voice is published twice each month on the first and third Thursday. Through our publication we are consciously celebrating the unique character of this place and, as our tag line reads, “reflecting the spirit of our community.”
Our little town of two thousand residents is nestled in the hills and woods of the coastal range of Oregon, where we celebrate our historic heritage, our logging industry, our connection to nature and our vibrant sense of community.
Vernonia’s Voice is currently entering into a new age as we update our website and link to other forms of social media. We hope to make our publication more interactive for visitors and our readers. This update to our website will continue to be a work in progress as we look for new ways to expand our reach. Watch for more changes, upgrades and added information.
As always, we are moving forward with a goal of better meeting the needs of our community and those who love and care about it.
