Vernonia Boy Scout Bridger Steward did work on his Eagle Scout Project on Saturday September 14. Steward worked on upgrades at Greenman Field where the Vernonia Loggers play their football games. Steward and friends created cutouts in the bleachers to allow water flow through. The cutouts were a FEMA requirement and will bring the stadium into flood compliance. As part of his project Steward and his team also painted the bottom step of the bleachers, eliminating a safety hazard. The group also painted the goal posts at the stadium which were in dire need of refreshing.
