Highway 26 Paving Project to Begin

ODOT will begin work on a paving project on U.S. 26 (Sunset Highway) in both directions, beginning at NW Hayward Road in Manning and extending 10 miles west to Wolf Creek. The project limits are milepost 37.3 to milepost 47.6 in rural Washington County.

The contractor plans to work days and nights throughout the summer. Most of the construction requires lane closures. Lane closures on U.S. 26 may occur anytime Monday through Thursday, day or night. On Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays, lane closures are only permitted between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. A pilot car or flaggers will assist road users through the construction. Road users should expect short delays and increased congestion in this area during this project. Please drive carefully through the construction zone.  Work is slated for completion in September 2013.
