VHS Equestrian Team Ends Season on Positive Note

The Vernonia High School Equestrian Team completed their 3rd and final OHSET district meet of the season on the weekend of April 13th.  Sheyanne Pedersen won gold in   Breakaway Roping, clinching first place in the District Finals as well.  Pedersen will now travel and compete at the State Championships in Redmond on May 17th – 19th.

“I am very proud of our team!,” said head coach Diane Benes.   “They have done a wonderful job of proving themselves to be a contender in the world of OHSET. They definitely made a mark in that world. This was a great group of  kids, great parents, and we all had some great times!”
