Joseph L. “Joe” Fulgham – Obituary

obit-Fulgham-ColorJOSEPH L. “JOE” FULGHAM, 42, a resident of the Cornelius community, died Monday evening, February 11, 2013 at Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro, Oregon.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.  Private Cremation Rites have been held at Hoyt Crematory in Forest Grove.

JOSEPH LEE “JOE” FULGHAM was born March 2, 1970 in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of Leroy and Christine (Franks) Fulgham. He was raised and received his early education in the Phoenix community, until moving to Fort Meade, Florida where he graduated from Fort Meade High School with the Class of 1988.

Joe worked as a manager at Texaco Gas Station (later becoming Shell Gas Station) in Hillsboro, Oregon until 2005 when he retired due to health reasons.

He was united in marriage to Tylee Rae Alford on May 15, 2004 in North Plains, Oregon. Following their marriage they made their home in Vernonia, Oregon for a short time prior to moving to the Cornelius community where Joe has since resided. Joe and Tylee celebrated their eight year wedding anniversary this past May.

Among his special interests he enjoyed wrestling, making model rockets and loved his Bassett Hound, “Jasper.”

Survivors include his wife, Tylee Fulgham of Cornelius, Oregon; his mother, Christine Fulgham of Phoenix, Arizona; his sisters and brothers in law, Bonnie Albritton of Louisville, Kentucky, Diane and Ralph Quinn of Nyssa, Oregon, Linda and Jose Cardenas of Asheboro, North Carolina and Andrea and John Martin of Houston, Texas.Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests that contributions be  made to the National Kidney Foundation, 465 NE 181st Street, Suite 257, Portland, Oregon 97230, in his memory.
